Privacy
Plainly: we hold your company's account details and the photos you take. We do not sell anything about you, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking in the app.
What we collect
- Account details — company name, your name, email address, and a password we store only as a salted hash (scrypt). No password is ever readable back.
- Photos and their details — the images you upload, the time each was taken, the note you add, and (when your phone allows it) the location where it was taken. Location is captured with the photo, not tracked in the background.
- Activity records — sign-ins, uploads, jobs created, client links made and revoked. These exist so an account can be audited: whose phone uploaded what, and when.
What we do with it
We show it back to your company (anyone signed in to the account), to whoever holds a live client link you created, and we use it to run the service — nothing else. We do not use your photos to train anything, and no third party reads them.
Who processes it
- Fly.io — hosting, including the disk the database and photos live on.
- Stripe — payments and subscription state. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Exports and deletion
You can download a ZIP of the original photos for any job at any time, on any plan. To close the account and have everything erased, email us from the account address: we delete the company's photos, jobs, client links and account records. Photos already sent to a client through a link are outside our control once downloaded, as with any file you send someone.
Client links
A client link is unlisted, expiring and revocable: no account is needed to open it, and anyone holding it can see that job's photos and report until it expires or you revoke it. Treat it like sending someone a folder — share it only with the client.
Children
Jobshot is a tool for trade businesses and is not directed at children.
